Medical Education
Dr. Anderson graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Entrepreneurship with minors in Chemistry and Psychology, a unique academic foundation that reflects her passion for innovation, scientific rigor, and human-centered care.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, graduating in the top of her class. Her medical school performance demonstrated exceptional clinical aptitude and commitment to surgical excellence.
Residency Training
Following medical school, Dr. Anderson completed the six-year Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at Corewell Health/Michigan State University (2020 to 2026), one of the nation’s most competitive and comprehensive plastic surgery training programs. During her final years of residency, she served as Chief Resident, overseeing one of the program’s busiest clinical operations and mentoring junior residents.
Her residency training was exceptional in both breadth and volume:
- 7,700+ surgical cases completed, more than five times the minimum case requirement for plastic surgery training
- 1,500+ aesthetic procedures performed, exceeding the national minimum requirement by more than tenfold
- Comprehensive experience in aesthetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, post-traumatic reconstruction, post-oncologic reconstruction, and complex revisionary procedures
- Advanced breast surgery training under world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Dennis Hammond, with focus on both aesthetic and reconstructive breast procedures
