Until recently, women undergoing breast augmentation have had to choose between the safety of saline implants or the more natural texture of silicone gel implants. The best of both worlds wasn’t available. Ideal Implants change that.

The Best of Both Worlds in Breast Augmentation

Ideal Implants are structured breast implants that combine the most unique properties of both saline and silicone implants to provide a natural feel and optimal safety. Aesthetics in Plastic Surgery proudly offers Ideal Implants in addition to traditional saline and silicone gel implants, giving you a wide variety of options to choose from in making an informed personal decision about your best implants.

Benefits of The Ideal Implant

  • Look and feel like natural breast tissue
  • Higher strength and durability than saline and silicone implants
  • Lower rupture rate than saline and silicone implants
  • Saline is easily absorbed by the body if there’s a rupture
  • No risk of silicone gel leaks
  • Requires a small incision
  • Doesn’t require regular MRI scans
  • Maintains a smooth surface without wrinkles

Saline Implants vs. Silicone Implants vs. Ideal Implants

Saline Implants

Saline implants are traditional breast implants filled with sterile saline water. They’re filled with water after insertion, and they’re suitable for all adults over 18 years of age. Saline implants are extremely safe—if they get ruptured, the implant will deflate, and the saline solution will get absorbed by your body without health risks. While saline implants are safe, they don’t look or feel exactly like natural breast tissues. Furthermore, in the unlikely event your implants were to rupture, the shape and size of the breast will change; it may appear deflated or develop wrinkles.

Silicone Implants

Silicone implants are form-stable implants with pre-filled silicone gel. They’re the most popular type of breast implant because the thick and sticky fluid used closely approximates human fat tissue, making it the most natural-looking type of breast implant. If a silicone implant ruptures, the silicone gel might slowly leak into surrounding breast tissue, leading to breast pain and contour changes. Most patients won’t immediately realize a ruptured has occurred, necessitating regular MRIs to ensure nothing is leaking.

Ideal Implants

Ideal Implants are structured implants that combine the unique benefits of both implant types. They contain two chambers housing sterile saline and no silicone gel, so there are no health risks. Furthermore, the surrounding shells are designed to prevent implant ruptures, so there’s little risk of the saline leaking out. Besides safety, the implant shell is made of materials that closely resemble the appearance and sensation of actual breast tissue. As such, Ideal Implants look and feel just like natural breast tissues while being extremely safe.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

To our esteemed patients,

We are excited to announce that we will be re-opening the our office on:

Monday, May 4th

Our office has always implemented stringent protocols to ensure the safety of our staff and patients. Many of these protocols are in place to meet the strict requirements of our fully AAAASF accredited operating room. In short, we are already ahead of the game given our office-based surgical center.

However, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have implemented additional protocols throughout the practice to ensure maximal safety with regards to this novel coronavirus.

  • Sanitizing protocols will be enhanced and be in line with current CDC guidelines.
  • All surgical patients will be given PCR COVID-19 viral tests through our office
  • New and existing patients will be given access to our practice through TouchMD once an appointment is made, in order to complete consents and a Covid-19 questionnaire on their devices prior to their appointment
  • Scheduling will minimize the number of patients in the office at one time
  • We will continue to offer virtual consultations and follow up appointments.
  • We are asking for patients to arrive alone...friends and family may wait outside or in car.
  • We are asking for patients to wear a mask for all in office appointments.

Thank you for your support and understanding during these trying times. We truly look forward to seeing you back!

Please call the office (239) 266-2381. We are ready to schedule your appointment and answer any questions.

Sincerely,

- Dr. Kiran Gill & Staff
