Lines, furrows and sagginess in the forehead and brow can be reversed with brow lift surgery.

Also referred to as a forehead lift, this cosmetic surgery procedure lifts the forehead, the brow and the upper eyelids to achieve a more refreshed and youthful-looking appearance.1

Over time, the frown lines, furrows, and droopy skin that develops on the forehead can contribute to an older, chronically fatigued look that encompasses all of the facial features.

Our surgeons can reverse these effects of aging and dramatically reduce signs of facial exhaustion and age with a brow lift procedure.

Our Naples plastic surgeons, Dr. Nadia Kazim, a board-certified ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon and Dr. Kiran Gill, a board-certified plastic surgeon, are known for their skill in cosmetic procedures. We are experienced in achieving outstanding results with facial plastic surgery procedures like brow lift, and other surgical procedures including eyelid lift or blepharoplasty, facelift, and neck lift, as well as treatments such as Botox for non-surgical rejuvenation.

Candidates For Brow Lift

Good candidates for brow lift surgery are typically men and women with concerns about deep creases and furrows in the forehead region and sagging brows.2 Generally, brow lift patients are in their 40s and 50s, but it’s not uncommon for individuals in their late 20s and 30s to experience an early onset forehead wrinkles and droopy brow as the result of genetics and seek out brow lift surgery. During your consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with a plastic surgeon to review your medical history, what the brow lift procedure entails and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Blepharoplasty is ideal for both men and women who want to rejuvenate their look. It can be performed in conjunction with a facelift, a brow lift, and other facial rejuvenation procedures for even better results. It’s fairly easy to cover up any scars from the incision with makeup and most patients find the incision scars heal and disappear fairly quickly.

While brow lift can improve hooding at the upper outer corners of the eyelids, it is important to note that it does not correct crow’s feet or the mid-face. If you have concerns with areas outside the forehead region, we can discuss other options such as blepharoplasty, fillers, and other surgical and non-surgical treatments for a more youthful appearance.

Brow Lift Recovery

Following brow lift surgery, patients must keep the head elevated for at least three days to reduce swelling. It is common to experience bruising, numbness, and mild discomfort immediately after the procedure, but these symptoms will gradually subside in about one week and can be managed with pain medication. Traditional brow lift patients can plan to resume their normal activities approximately 7 to 10 days after their procedure, while endoscopic brow lift or endoscopic forehead lift patients require less recovery time. During the recovery period, it’s important to avoid strenuous activities that increase blood pressure.
